INFORMATION
The Brockville Y.M.C.A. Aquatic Club was founded in 1897 and helped to found the CCA in 1900. Like other area clubs, the Brockville YMCA similarly abandoned the CCA in 1905 to pursue other interests, continuing until 1914 and resuming activities again in 1957. The club retired the Major Walsh War Canoe Trophy in 1900 which has since been reinstated for Dragon Boat competitions. After leaving the CCA, Brockville YMCA continued to enter war canoe races at the ACA Sugar Island Regatta. They won both C15 events in 1905.
