INFORMATION
The Chemong Canoe Club was founded prior to 1898 when they were listed in the ACA yearbook as a member club. Chemong held regattas on their lake as seen in various postcards, particularly in 1904, billed as the "First Chemong Park Regatta" in the Globe and Mail (August 8). Paddlers from Bobcaygeon, Lakefield, Peterborough and Orillia attended.
