The Kelowna Canoe & Kayak Club was founded in 1982 and appeared on the CCA program until 1984. The club continues to operate with a focus on sharing information, developing paddling skills and offering recreational trips and social functions.

There is no connection to the Kelowna Aquatic Association which existed prior to World War I and hosted the International Kelowna Regatta for a short time.
