INFORMATION
The Kew Beach Amateur Aquatic Association began in 1911 in the Western Division and competed regularly in the Dominion Regatta until World War I, sporadically afterwards until at least 1924. It is likely that the building disappeared around 1930 as part of the development of the Eastern Beaches Park. The CCA program from 1921 indicates that Kew Beach's club colours were orange although this has yet to be separately confirmed. The only other possibility is purple and white from the ribbon below. The ladies war canoe paddlers were known as the "Kaybee Girl Paddlers." Twice, both in 1912 and again in 1950, the club is referred to as Kew Beach Canoe Club in national championships programs.
