Les
Cageux Canot-Kayak de Vaudreuil - Soulange
joined CCA in 1973, lasting a decade until 1983. Various
members won medals at the national championships in
the mid 1970s under the name of Vaudreuil
Canoe Club. There was a club in Ile-Cadieux
in the late 19th century, possible connected to the
American Canoe Association, but little is known about
this club. The exact location of the 1973 Vaudreuil
is uncertain. It may have been on L'Ile Cadieux like
the old one, or it may have been on the Soulanges Canal,
much like Deux Rives which started up a few years later
in Coteau-du-Lac.
