INFORMATION |
The
Kelowna
Canoe & Kayak Club was founded in 1982
and appeared on the CCA program until 1984. The club continues
to operate with a focus on sharing information, developing
paddling skills and offering recreational trips and social
functions. There was an organised Kelowna Aquatic
Club which held the International Kelowna Regatta
for a short time. They were in operation before the first
world war when they purchased Peachland's C15 when that
club folded. There was also war canoe racing near the turn
of the century. |
