The
Nelson
Paddling Club joined CKC as an Associate
club in 2012, known then as the Nelson
Kayak & Canoe Club. They competed at Nationals
for the first time in 2018 and won their first medals in
2019. Nelson was originally founded in 1991 and incorporated
in 2002. The mandate of the club is to promote safe paddlesport
in and around Lakeside Park in Nelson. Beginning in 2014,
as part of the club's program expansion, activities are
managed by the Nelson District Community Complex.
