INFORMATION |
The
Toronto
Racing Canoe Club was founded in the fall
of 1989 and operated out of Sunnyside Pavilion. Although
the club started hosting an invitational regatta in 1993,
that year, Sunnyside chose to build a new café which
forced the canoe club out, hoping to relocate to the mouth
of the Humber. Although often called the Toronto
Canoe Club, it bore no affiliation
with the original Toronto Canoe
Club (1880-1939). The club folded in 1995, transferring
their boats to the Toronto Island
Canoe Club. |
