The Lindsay Canoe Club was founded as early as 1883 in time for the annual ACA regatta at Stony Lake. Lindsay was a member of the American Canoe Association along with many other Canadian clubs and by 1889 was one of 23 Canadian clubs competing in the Northern Division of the ACA. The club gradually faded from the canoeing circuit and then folded in later years although the pin below indicates that the club was still in existence in 1906.
