INFORMATION
Toba Canoe Club  is the generic name for the various clubs located in Manitoba who combine to form one competitive entry in CanoeKayak Canada. Toba’s training sites are located at the Winnipeg Paddling Club on the Red River (program established 1985), the Minnedosa Canoe-Kayak Centre (1998), Brandon Canoe-Kayak Centre (2005) and the new Sanford Canoe & Kayak Centre (2007). The Selkirk Paddling Centre is now a separate club (qv). In the past, Minnedosa and Brandon have taken out separate memberships in CanoeKayak Canada although athletes still competed for “Toba.” The name change from Winnipeg Paddling Club to Toba Canoe Club took place in 2000 when the sprint program relocated from the old Winnipeg Canoe Club site.
