Because there was no club championship and no awarding of points in 1901, the above table simply shows the number of firsts, seconds and thirds based on published results. If points had been awarded, Grand Trunk Boating Club would have been the champion club with 12 points.
The Senior Half-Mile War Canoe race was declared a "no race" as a result of various fouls during the contest. The Bohemian crew won the contest fairly and refused to contest a rerace that day. A rerace was eventually contested on September 23 at the Ottawa Canoe Club.
