* It has been very difficult to delineate the difference between the Divisional Qualifying regatta and the Provincial Championships regatta. There are only a few sporadic years where there is clearly a separate divisional regatta prior to the Provincial Championships. In other years, it appears that the divisional qualifications occur at the Provincial Championships. Until I can determine the accuracy of these regattas, the Divisional champion, beginning in 2002, is basically a tabulation of points from the Provincial Championships that only include the Midget+ points.

1 The 1994 report states that Cap won the Quebec championship seven years prior to Lac Beauport's win. Since the Provincial Championships trophy begins recording in 1993, I am going on the assumption that these seven wins are Divisional Championships.

Fulford Cup

(present by 1908)
* This is a confusing situation. The Fulford Trophy was donated to the CCA by Major Walsh of Brockville to be used for a tug-of-war competition in 1901. The association elected to award it to the winners of the Mile C15 in 1902 and it remained in that status until 1979 when the race was discontinued. There was a Fulford Trophy awarded in the Northern Division for Junior Mens C2. It is entirely possible that a third "Fulford" was on offer in the Eastern Division, but the fact that it is awarded to the same event as the national event, makes for some confusing newspaper reading.

- In 1919, Chateauguay's War Canoe won the Howard G. Kelley Trophy. In 1925, Valois won the Walker and MacLean Trophies. These may have been local regatta trophies.

- The 1910 Montreal Gazette article from July 25 states that the Mile War Canoe race is for the Fulford Trophy. This may have been a mix-up with the trophy from the National Championships, unless there was a second "Fulford" given out in the Eastern Division.
