There were only two official member clubs in the Western
Division in 1908: Toronto CC and Island AAA. Other
unaffiliated clubs competed alongside with them at
a Divisional "qualifying" meet simply to
"make a regatta of it." Only Parkdale joined
the Division as a result, despite threats from the
CAAU about the professionalisation of paddlers. |
